What is the Eligibility Criteria ?


Applicants willing to apply for constable posts in CRPF, must full fill the below mentioned eligibility conditions.

1) Applicant must be an Indian Citizen

2) Age-Limit: Applicants age, should be in between, 21 years to 27 years. The cut off date for determining the age limit is 1st Jan, 2016

3) Educational Qualifications: Applicant must have passed the 10th Class class, along with Diploma/Certificate in respective trade. those applying for Driver, must have Driving license with them

Apart form these Applicants must have meet the minimum Physical Standards and also Qualify need to qualify the Physical Efficiency test (PET).

Applicants willing to apply for these Women Constable Jobs in RPF and RSPF, must full the below mentioned eligibility conditions

1) Applicant must be a Female and an Indian Citizen

Selection Process: The Selection process comprises of Written Examination, Physical Efficiency test, Physical Measurement test and document Verification. The Written exam will be an objective type test comprises of 120 Questions having 1 mark each with exam duration of 90 minutes.

The 120 MCQ's are broken into these sections as given below

1) General Awareness: 50 Marks
2) Arithmetic Ability: 35 Marks
3) General Intelligence and Reasoning: 35 Marks

There will be penalty of 0.33 marks for every wrong answer you mark.

RPF Syllabus 2016 for Women Constables

Going to Appear for RPF Women Constable Exam ? Know the Selection Process, Exam Pattern and Syllabus for RPF Women Constable Exam 



If, you are reading this article, then you all know about the RFP Recruitment for 2030 women constable posts and chances are that you have successfully submitted your RPF online application form. If you have not yet registered for the RPF exam, then you can apply upto 1st March, 2016. You can also use the below mentioned resources, to help you in knowing the Notification details and submitting the online form



In this post we will share the Selection Process and Syllabus for RPF Constable Exam. The syllabus, that we are going to share in this post, has been sourced from the Official RPF Notification, so you should have not any doubt, regarding the genuineness of syllabus.

Not only the syllabus, we will also recommend the Books, that you should buy for preparation of this exam, as the Written Exam is the First stage of this Recruitment and without it, you can't proceed for further stages. RPF Syllabus 2016 and Exam Pattern



The Selection Process for the Women Constable Jobs in RPF, comprises of Written test, then Physical Efficiency test and Physical Measurement test.

Written Exam is the First Stage of Recruitment and a must for all those for have applied. It is worth mentioning here that Written exam will be conducted for only those who are found eligible after scrutiny of Application forms, and as such be very careful, while submitting the application form.

Exam Pattern: The Written Exam comprises of 120 Objective Type Questions (MCQ's) having composite time of 90 minutes. The Questions paper will be of matriculation standard. Here is the Section -wise break up of Written Exam

1) 50 Questions from General Awareness ( 50 Marks)

2) 35 Questions from Arithmetic Ability (35 Marks)

3) 35 Questions from General Intelligence and Reasoning (35 Marks)


Penalty for Wrong Answer: For every wrong answer, there will be penalty of 0.33 marks.OR 1 mark will be deducted for every 3 wrong questions

Language Convenience: Applicants will have the convenience, to write exam in their preferred regional language also and for that purpose, separate centres will be allotted. Candidates who opt for any regional language, will be allotted Exam centres in any one of the states as mentioned below.



Minimum Cut Off Marks: Applicants, must note that to Qualify the RPF written Exam, they have to score a minimum of 35% marks in Written Exam (30% for SC/ST candidates). Be careful while attempting questions, as there is penalty of 1/3 marks for every wrong answer


Second Stage : Physical Efficiency test and Physical Measurement Test 


Those, who qualify the Written Exam, will be shortlisted for PET and PMT, but remember, you have to obtain the minimum cut off marks to be shortlisted for 2nd stage. It is worth mentioning here that Candidates will  be selected for PET and PMT in the ratio of 10 times to the no. of vacancies.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET): PET will comprises of three event, viz Running, Long Jump and High Jump. Applicants will have to pass in each of the events and there will be no marks awarded for these events. The minimum criteria to qualify in each of the event is given as under




The First event will be 800 meters run event, that is to be completed in 3 mins , 40 Sec. Only those who qualify the Running event will appear for 2nd and 3rd Events. Those who Qualify the Physical Efficiency test, will be measured for eligibility with respect to height.


Bonus Marks: If you have taken up NCC in School / College and If you are active in Sport and have represented in National Or International sports event, then you will have an extra edge and you will be awarded bonus marks

The Criteria for awarding Bonus marks with respect to NCC and Sports is given as under




Note: Apart from this, Candidates having height above 165 cms will also be awarded 03 bonus marks.

Medical Examination: After document Verification, applicants, will be sent for Medical Examination in the Railways Hospitals.

Before, you proceed for Online Registration, as usual, you must possess, your Scanned Photo and scanned Signature,  as per the prescribed size and format.

Steps for Submitting the RPF Online Application form 2016

1) Open either www.rpfonlinereg.in  OR  www.scr.indianrailways.gov.in 

2) Now click on "Apply Now" button, as given on the Website



3) A New Page, will be opened, where you have to Enter your Personal Details, Communication Details, Examination Information, and Educational Qualification, after that, you have to click on Next Button

4) Now, you can preview your filled in form, and you will asked to accept the Terms and Conditions.Now you have to click on "Accept and Submit" button.

5) After that, your Registration, No. will be generated and same will be sent to you at your Mobile No by SMS Or through Email.

Note: Registration No. will be in Format like RPF100****

6) Now, you again have to Login by using the Registration No and your Date of Birth




7) After that, you have to Upload the 4 Documents, as given below


  • Matric Certificate
  • Filled in Template (Download Here) 
  • Scanned Photo
  • Scanned Signature
8) After, uploading these Documents, you have to click on "Complete My Registration" Button. 

9) The system will now generate the acknowledgement. Take its Print out for your record.
